Her most well-known role is her performance as Willie Scott, an American nightclub performer and singer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), which was directed by her eventual husband Steven Spielberg. Since then, she has appeared in Dreamscape (1984), Power (1986), SpaceCamp (1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). The portraits of her work have been displayed in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), a beauty and travel agent, and Edwin Leon Nail, an airline employee of the airline. [4] She moved to St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of five, and was a graduate of Hazelwood Senior High School in 1972. Capshaw graduated from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught special education at Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri, and Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri.
